When i chose pmdg 737 fsx crashes download#
Option 1 – Download one of many replacement UIAutomationCore.dll files and place them in the directory where you have FSX installed. Here’s sort of the “Cliffsnotes” version of some of the solutions I’ve found:

Just do a Google search on UIAutomationCore.dll and FSX and you’ll see what I mean. Somewhat unfortunately….there are a number of varying opinions in the flight sim community regarding the fix or solution related to UIAutomationCore.dll. However, the general consensus in the flight sim community is many other things can cause a CTD with some might be related to UIAutomationCore.dll and some may not. At least this way you sort of know that is the most common cause. If one has to experience these CTD issues, and you are lucky…then it might occur when you are clicking an FSX menu. As I pointed out earlier, I rebuilt my old machine in February and never had any CTD events which led me to pursue any UIAutomationCore.dll fix. My CTD’s of late seem to be related to something else causing it. I have no issues with FSX stability when clicking menus or clicking around in general within FSX.

Others experience the CTD’s for other related issues. Some are only plagued with these CTD events when clicking the various menus in FSX. I know this is an extremely vague statement to make, but it is fact. FSX crashes related to UIAutomationCore.dll do mean different things to different people. Let me explain (at least how I understand) the issues to be with relation to the UIAutomationCore.dll file. This is a core WIndows system file.īefore we proceed further.

Just to be clear, the UIAutomationCore.dll file IS NOT a file which is installed by FSX. I’ve also just previously learned it is also located under C:WindowsSysWOW64.

Keep in mind that regardless of where you instruct FSX to install the core FSX application (in my case on a secondary SSD drive) the UIAutomationCore.dll file will always be located in this folder location by default. In February when I rebuilt what I now call my old FSX machine, I never had a need to do anything with the UIAutomationCore.dll file which is installed by default in the following folder: C:WindowsSystem32. In my history with FSX (been flying FSX since the day it was made available), I’ve built/rebuilt FSX machines where I didn’t need to do anything with the UIAutomationCore.dll file and I’ve built/rebuilt systems where I did. I have followed his advice many times on many of my FSX builds or rebuilds. As I mentioned many times in my previous posts about how I follow NickN’s “How to install and configure FSX Bible”, He recommends not messing around with the UIAutomationCore.dll unless you absolutely need to do so. So much so I wanted to briefly write about it.
